Manage Your Checking Account with Confidence

We’re here to help you make the most of your checking account and avoid unnecessary fees whenever possible.

An Overdraft Line of Credit is an account-linked line of credit that can help cover eligible transactions if your checking balance falls too low, so you can avoid the inconvenience of declined or returned payments. It’s also a cheaper alternative to our Courtesy Pay services, which have a fee each time you use them.

Here are the details:

Up to $1,000 dependent on credit score

Payment of 25% of balance due within 60 days

Payment example:
If you were to use the full $1,000 limit to cover your payments, and you pay it off completely within 60 days, you would pay $26.30 in interest. That’s less than the cost of a $30 overdraft or NSF fee, and it helps you avoid the inconvenience of declined or returned transactions.

How does this fit in with other overdraft protection services?

  • Overdraft Transfer Protection automatically transfers funds from a source you’ve designated including savings, checking, Home Equity Line of Credit, Visa credit card, or new Overdraft Line of Credit. These sources are your first line of defense to prevent overdraft fees or returned items.
  • Courtesy Pay acts as a secondary line of protection for checks, electronic transactions and recurring debit transactions. At our discretion, we will cover these transactions if they bring your account to a negative balance, but a $30 fee will be charged for each occurrence.
  • Debit Card Courtesy Pay is an optional extension you can add via Online Banking. This protection will also cover debit card and point of sale (POS) transactions up to an approved limit should your balance be too low. A $30 fee will be charged for each occurrence.
