A big part of being your community credit union is helping out wherever we can! Our Community Involvement Guidelines outline the types of organizations we support. If your organziation meets our guidelines and you would like to request support, please complete and return our Donation Request Form.

In addition to financial support that Fibre Federal Credit Union provides for selected community events and non-profit organizations, our Community Service Committee staff each year donate hundreds of hours of their personal time to a number of worthwhile program, some of which are listed below:

• Nourish our Neighbors food drive involved all the credit unions in Cowlitz County and collected over 2500 pounds of food and raised over $1,350 dollars for Help Warehouse, Woodland Community Center, Kalama Helping Hands and Castle Rock Lions foodbanks.
• Relay For Life

  Our first Relay for Life team raised $2,154.55 for the American Cancer Society. Money was raised through team sponsorphips and the sale of American Cancer Society Memorials.

   

• Get on The Bus School Supply Drive

  Generous members and employees provided school children in the Longview, Kelso, Castle Rock, Kalama and Woodland school districts with much needed school supplies and backpacks.

• Angel Tag Program provides holiday gifts to 200 foster children in Cowlitz County during December.
• Participation in United Way "Day of Caring" projects.
• We co-sponsor two Shred Days each year that allow members to bring documents in for free shredding. We also collect food for CAP at these events.
• We partner with the Cowlitz Asset Building Coaltion's "Bank on Cowlitz County" initiative which seeks to increase access to financial services and financial education for the unbanked or underbanked.
• We raise and donate money and food throughout the year for the Help Warehouse
• Quarterly "Adopt-a-Highway" clean up of the Ocean Beach Highway between Wal-Mart and Coal Creek Bridge.
• Fundraising for the Salvation Army's Community Thanksgiving Dinner
• Credit Union Charity Ride, co-sponsored by Fibre Federal and IQ Credit Union raises funds for Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
• Hit & Giggle Golf Tournament, co-sponsored by Fibre Federal and Red Canoe Credit Union raises funds for Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
