A big part of being your community credit union is helping
out wherever we can! In addition to financial support
that Fibre Federal Credit Union provides for selected
community events, our Community Service volunteer staff
each year donate hundreds of hours of their personal time
to a number of worthwhile programs listed below:
- Fibre Federal Credit Union is accepting applicatons for 5 educational scholarships. The Jim Stacie Memorial scholarship in the amount of $2,000 is awarded to candidates which display outstanding leadership skills. The other four scholarships are in the amount of $1,500 each and awarded based on academic achievement. Candidates must be members of Fibre Federal Credit Union. -
Angel Tag Program which provided gifts to 200 foster children in Cowlitz County. Angel Tag trees were set up at all Fibre Federal Service Centers. Fibre Federal staff collected the gifts and donations, shopped for additional gifts to ensure that all 200 tags were honored, and delivered the gifts for distribution. Special thanks to the Longview Walmart which gave us a 10% discount on the gifts we purchased and helped streamline the checkout process.
-
Annual Hit & Giggle Golf Tournament held at Three Rivers Golf Course in Kelso, WA. Raised over $22,000 which was donated to Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Over 1,500 of Cowlitz County's children are treated at this premiere facility each year.
-
Credit Union Charity Ride, benefiting Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. The Ride was held on Saturday, July 28, 2007 and raised over $35,000.
- Participation in United Way "Day of Caring" projects.
- Annual "March of Dimes" walk team.
- Quarterly "Adopt-a-Highway" clean up of the Ocean Beach Highway between
Wal-Mart and Coal Creek Bridge.
